Is it possible to delete the windows.old file from my pc without fear of loosing something critical?

After you know that you have transferred everything and made all the necessary back ups, just delete it. It just takes up space.

To delete it, go to c drive, properties, clean disc, and check include system files. It may take two or 3 tries to delete the entire file.

Again, it is just your old files. Once you have everything, just delete it.
