Solved windows update problem

Hi Forum, I'm having a problem installing the following update. (Microsoft.NET Framework 4.5.1 for windows vista) (KB2858725) It gives error 13EC. This is the first time I've had a problem with updates. Nothing has been changed on my laptop. Any help greatly appreciated. Mike

I am reading that people are running out of disk space with that update. Please check yours. Also check for the file mentioned in this article.

Error 13EC when installing The .NET Framework 4.5.1 means you need to free more disk space. 3GB that is. « The Wiert Corner ? irregular stream of stuff

Hi townsbg, I have 47Gb of free space on my hard drive, I've also tried the repair tool all to no avail. thanks for the tips anyway. mike.

Have you tried the manual installer? That patch is only recommended. Technically your system doesn't even need to have .net installed although some programs might. The .NET Framework 4.5.1 and its corresponding language packs are available on Windows Update
