Solved WMP Open with list problem

after I played with codecs and settings for wmp on Vista x64 my wmp stopped working when I chose to open avi file with open with.
When I run wmp and open avi file everything works OK.

The error message windows looks like

Does the file open with another player?
Try VLC and see if it opens.
Also put the file in aother folder that does not have _ before it. That might not be the fix but you never know.

I do not understand why I should try VLC or anything else when I said above:
When I run WMP and open AVI file it works PERFECT.

I have only a problem with OPEN WITH list and looking for the way to fix it.

found solution myself
it is just enough to run regedit locally as user
and delete all entries at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.avi

than the whole list can be recreated
