WMP wants to sync with all my USB keys...

New recent behavior... every time I insert a USB stick, I get a box from Media Player that wants to search my computer for files (image attached). I don't want to do any of this, but I can't figure out the setting in WMP or Vist to turn this stupid function off...

I work in a school here and see dozens of different USB keys daily, so this is a real annoyance. Can anyone tell me how to stop this dialog from coming up?

Try keeping WMP closed for now.

I'll research your problem and give you a better solution.

OK, thanks! WMP IS closed... It does it while it's closed. I was thinking of uninstalling it... I don't have this problem on my other two computers... --ch
