Update to Vista Service Pack 2 Always Fails

Hello

I am trying to update my vista 32bit to service pack 2 but i am not able to do it. When it all end it says "service pack did not install" and it start to retrieve original data.
Some things i have done from looking into other update fail threads:

I checked Windows Module Installer and its set to manual.
did this also How do I reset Windows Update components?

Can anyone help me on whats the problem? Thanks

Dont know if you have already tried that but the easy fix here is to download the sp2 and install it manually Download details: Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 - Five Language Standalone (KB948465)
