Update Error 646

Hello all
Just tried to update Windows, only 3 updates were installed another 3 updates failed due to error 646, can anybody help Resolve this please.
I have Vista 32 bit Home edition

With which ones updates do you have problem?Strickly for system or 3p MS applications like Office,Silverlight?

If this is problem with updates for Office,Silverlight then here is solution:

Error code "0x80070646," "646," or "1606" when you try to install Office updates

If this issue with updates strickly for system then reset Windows Update How do I reset Windows Update components? (run MS Fix It from this site in NORMAL mode -if doesn't help run again it in AGGRESSIVE MODE)
reinstall Windows Update Agent How to obtain the latest version of the Windows Update Agent to help manage updates on a computer
Try also fix for Windows Update Repair & Fix Windows Updates with Fix WU Utility | The Windows Club

It would be also issue with network connection -see @zirshaid post from this thread

I tried what you recommeneded but it did not not work, i still get the box popping up Windows unable to update.

run cmd.exe and type:

set >%userprofile%\Desktop\log.txt

this will create log.txt on your desktop -attache this file to post.
