Thanks for the info and the warnings (which many know, but can never be said enough as we continue to see threads about the aftermath of not heeding that advice).

So we have 17 security updates to look forward to (and I'm sure at least one will require a reboot). And these are just the security updates - so there's who knows how many ordinary updates and MSE definitions and optional updates and whatever else to further increase that number. And if something goes wrong with that many all at once, finding the cause (let alone resolving the issue) is going to be extremely time-consuming. How wonderful! I may temporarily switch to manual and do a few at a time instead of all of them at once in case of problems.
