Prompts me to go back to SP1

I've been having that infamous error code 737D for over a year now when attempting to install update for SQL Server 2005 SP3. I got around to fixing it today (been having frequent blue screens, no idea if it's related, but can't hurt to update it finally) following the advice in this thread:

It did work, however now there's another update lined up - which is essentially SP1. Now, I might have no idea what I'm doing, but this seems fishy even to me. Should I go ahead with the update after all or not?
