unable to attach files to Email

I've had to install vista home basic X64 after my windows 7 crashed, since installing vista, i'm unable to attach any files to hotmail email using IE/Firefox or Gmail, it's a browser issue but i don't know what it can be, has anyone had this problem and fixed it? Also unable to install windows live mail.

When you go to your IE click the .

Click ALT...
Top left click tools..
Click internet options...
Click the advanced Tab...
Click reset...

Hi,

Try to install Windows live mail after you have signed in to your Windows account in IE (Hotmail etc.). OK?

Reset didn't work. I don't think it's a browser issue, two browsers and two different web client emails (hotmail/gmail) have the same problem.
Installing windows essentials 2011 crashes still, even when I'm logged into hotmail.
