Blue screen pops up and computer restarts

Hello, I'm having a problem as of a couple of days ago. All of a sudden my computer will be working fine and then the next it'll come up with the blue screen (which pops up too fast for me to even read it) and then my computer restarts on it's own. When I log back into my computer I get the following error:

Problem signature:

I have tried to figure out what it means but I can never find an answer that makes the blue screen stop. I don't think I've changed much in my settings since it started happening. I did however fiddle around with my networking a bit because I didn't know if I was able to use wifi with this computer. (I had gotten an ipod touch for xmas and wanted to be able to use my internet with it.) After trying to figure out if wifi was available I realized my computer isn't compatible with it. I don't know if my fiddling with the settings is what is causing the blue screen but it's all I can come up with. I haven't installed anything recently either. The only thing I do remember happening right before the blue screen started appearing was that my computer started acting up. Lots of programs began to come up with 'not responding'. And internet has been slow on and off. Not sure if that's the problem though.

I have an HP/Compaq SR5633WM.

OK, but since my primary computer (the computer I'm typing on now) is a Macbook Pro, I'll check it on my Windows laptop at work. I should have the analyzation report up by tomorrow.

Ugh. I'm not sure if I want to wait until tomorrow. I have tons of files on here that I don't want to lose. If that ends up being the case.

My Computer

Seems like something is wrong with the system files.

Do this:
Click Start and type CMD
Right click CMD and click run as administrator
When it comes up, type: sfc /scannow

It takes an hour. After it finishes, restart and hope that there won't be a BSOD.

Surprisingly, the scan finished rather quickly. It said the following:

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Shall I attach the log?

My Computer

Sure. But make sure you restart your computer, otherwise SFC is pointless.

Downloading the file right now... hopefully it will open on my Mac in Console. Otherwise, I'll make a quick trip to my other house and check it out for you ASAP.

The error points to networking components of Windows - so the suggestion is to replace the current copy of your networking drivers with a fresh copy from the network card manufacturer's website.

Additionally, please visit the website of your system manufacturer and update ALL of your drivers. Then visit Windows Update and install Service Pack 2

Post back if this doesn't solve your issues.

My Computer

Unfortunately, it just happened again so it's not solved.

Try a chkdsk scan. Then try MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (free download online), and Norton HijackThis (also available free online). Attach both logs.

Do you know any program called thj.exe?

It shows up... could be a virus. Open up Task Manager and End it.

Of which one of these am I suppose to update?
Select software and drivers Compaq Presario SR5633WM Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

My Computer

Everthing from "Operating System - Enhancements and QFEs" and below
You may want to update the BIOS also - but hold off on that until you see if the updates and Service Pack 2 fix things.

My Computer

Install the motherboard BIOS update... it might be a motherboard issue.
