I was following the guide from the top of the page, and had a problem with part of it.

When I run the system health report I get:
Error:
An error has occurred while trying to generate the report.
The system cannot find the path specified.

Here is my BSOD dump and system file collection results.

Let me know what else I can do to make it easier to solve. I will try my best!

Thank you for the quick reply!

Here is the problem I am having with uploading the minidump file.

I can log in with safe mode, and see through system properties --> writing debugging information that it is set to "kernel memory dump." I have changed that to small memory dump, which I believe will write the memory dump I am looking for. I will then log into windows normally, hoping to get the BSOD, which occurs! Then, I will log on in safe mode and the setting will be back at "kernel memory dump" and there will be no memory dump.

Let me know what I can do. Thank you for all of the help!

This will get just the dump to us. I have the other files. See if this helps at all.
I do understand your problem.

Richc46,

I know you that you want me to create and then give you the minidump file. I have no idea what you meant from your last post. As I have said, I cannot even create a minidump file in the first place because the settings revert for some reason.

Just to reiterate, here is what I have done.

Log in using safe mode. Change the Start up and recovery options to show a small memory dump(128kb) will be created. I will then log in normally, getting the BSOD, which should write a minidump file. I will then log in with safe mode, searching for C:\WINDOWS\Minidump, which pulls up the correct minidump folder, that is empty. When i go back to start up and recovery options, the settings will have reverted back to kernel memory dump.

I do not know what you mean when you say "see if this helps at all." I do not know the "this" you are referring to.

Through my quick research I have not found another way to change the way in which the minidump file will be written.

Again, thank you for the quick reply.

I am trying to find the dump files, but I cannot create them or find them it seems. I have searched for both types of dump files and I have no been able to find either. In the guide it talks about your computer not set to create a minidump. I can set it to create a minidump as much as I please, but it will never keep those settings once I restart. Is there another way to set my computer to create a minidump?

Sorry that I forgot to leave the link for you last time, but here it is. See if you can follow these instructions. I just need that one report.
If that does not work, I will ask some other BSOD people about the procedure

Ok, I think I have found the reason why I cannot find my minidump files after setting my computer to write one. I currently have no paging file set on my computer, which it seems is necesary to write the minidump file. This brings about the next problem! As with changing the way the dump files are written, everything reverts to the old settings when i restart my computer. That is to say, I can set my computer to have a paging file, and when it is restarted, it will revert to having no paging file, as was set previously to this bsod problem.

At this point, because I can still log onto my computer using safe mode to remove files that I need, I think I will just reroll this handsome frog and start from scratch. Thank you for all of your help, but it isn't worth all of your collective time if I can just restart from scratch and be perfectly okay. The biggest problem I will have is re-installing starcraft without the disk since I am on vacation right now!

Thank you for your help richc46 and Lorien.
