Hello out there, does any body know what causes the stop error 0x00000101? I have the i7 with 12 gig ram. This Hp machine has been displaying bsod ever since I bought it 18 months ago and nobody at hp can figure it out. Somtimes the error is the 0.....124. I get these errors a few times per week. I have a Raid 1 system if that helps. Help please Thanks for any feedback. Anthonyg

STOP 0x00000101: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT Usual causes: Device driver, BIOS bug, hardware defect

Its a hardware problem.

No beeps on the 124 error. You know its been going on since I bought the machine. The only thing I added was the Cannon printer soon after purchase and months later a Fujitsu scanner. I think in my humble opinion its one of the original installed components. My best guess is its the Raid 1 system which has been a great source of trouble. About 1x per month the second mirror drive has an error so I go through the Smart extented test and its usually ok and go through a few other hoops to get the mirror drive to rebuild itself. Out of probably 15x I've had to do this did HP send me a replacement mirror drive as it did fail.

The 101 error is something new, although I could be wrong. This time it kinda of fixed itself; by shutting down and rebooting automatically. I guess thats a good thing. I've noticed comments of some device failing to respond before something times out, have not idea whats up with that?

Thanks for the help. Hope this additional commentary is helpful. Anthonyg

Youre overclocking aren't you?

A 124 error indicates you either have too much or not enough qpi/vtt voltage. Remember though it should be below 1.45V

The 101 error is not enough vcore

Edit just noticed you can't overclock.... its a prebuilt.

Errors are still the same though.

It may be your cpu is bugging out or the mobo.
