    winload.exe error

Sorry if this was posted already, but I looked through some threads already on here for this problem but got nowhere.

Today I was on my computer as normal, I heard the hard drive running for a very long time, but i had no processes going, so I went to restart my computer I got an error with these numbers
    (stop 0x0000008E,0xc0000005,0x812c976F,0x8f8BB924,0x0000 000).
I pressed F8 and went into safe mode, went to a previous restore date and that did not work. Then I went to last known good configuration, that also failed. So then I ran my windows vista hard drive image disc that i made when i first got the computer. (My computer came with windows installed already and no hard cd of vista). After that ran, It went to start up after it loaded and now I got a black screen with a winload.exe error. I can not get past this screen now.

What can I do? Everything I read says to go into different folders and files, but I cant even get past the black screen.

    What might have caused this?

Also did I erase all my information by running the hard drive image disc?

Hello and welcome to the forum..

Are you still able to get into safe mode, it would be a lot of help if you can tell me what you can do on the system.

Hi, I can not get into safe mode, all I can do is get into the bios (delete button), and (F12 button) to boot menu to change first device hard drive or cdrom.

    Re: winload.exe error

Windows 32 came pre-installed on the system. When I ran the computer for the first time out of the box, it had me create a Image File Disc.

(After the initial problem with the computer, the blue scree, I ran the Image File Disc, and thats what has led me to the current issue of the black screen with the windows\system32\winload.exe Status 0XE000000E error.)

    Hello

First I know a lot of people including my self that when you buy them and get them opened up and do what the computer says to do on making a set of recovery, after you think you have them made and guard them so nothig happens to them and one day you need them and they don't do what they are suppose to. Sometime's you get good ones so if you have a friend or a family member that lives kind of close that has the same OS as you I would ask them if you can make a set of recovery disk's from there computer. I am going to send along the tutorials that will guide you through the correct procedure...

You might want to read this tutorial also about black screens, I am not sure that it will be of any help, but read it and see if anything applys to your system...

    Re: winload.exe error

    Thanks for your help.

I tried what you suggested, downloading the torrent file making the file an .iso then making an boot disc with that .iso file, but had the same error.

I found that my son had a image recovery disc that he made when he first ran his laptop. That also did not work. He found a Windows Anytime Upgrade disc he had recieved with the laptop purchase. I figured I'll try that, I have nothing to lose, and sure enough after a few clicks and trials it seems to have loaded a copy of windows over my existing operating sytem even creating a folder for my old files. Everything loaded like it was fresh out of the box. So far everything is running like normal. Luckily all I seem to have lost is what files and programs I had install on my C drive. I had a backup of everything else on my D drive.

Would that Recuva program by piriform.com work in retrieving those files by any chance?

    Re: winload.exe error

    Hi
I ran the recuver program, it showed the same files that were saved when I used the windows anytime upgrade disc. Using this upgrade disc only started vista, I went to my control panel programs, features and the only program showing was recuva. I then tried to use my Image File Disc thinking previous error (winload.exe) would no longer be an issue. After trying to use Image File Disc I now get error 0xa000000e. I would really like to restore comp. if possible.
