I have an HP that runs Vista in 64 bit. I've had a problem with it periodically crashing -- the entire system, that is. I'll put the computer to sleep and then, when I come back to it, I get the blue dead screen. The only thing I can do is manualy shut off and then reboot. I haven't lost any data yet, but it scares me each time.
I've noticed recently that every time I've had this crash I've also been prompted for an update to my Adobe Flash. I suspect now that something in that update causes the crash, but you never know.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, is it just a matter of removing Flash altogether. All of those updates are a pain, but it is a useful app.
Thanks for anyone able to give a hand.
