    newbie: BSOD

sooo... im a teenager and my games wont work on my computer. I have a windows vista home premium 64bit and it was pre installed when i got the computer.

i try and play games like sims 3 for instance. Sometimes it takes 10 mins, and other times it takes 40 minutes, but my game will freeze, shut down, blue screen of death will appear, and computer will restart as if nothing happened at all.

my mom is a mac user and cannot help me, and this computer is deemed useless since all i wanted it for was to play my games on.

can someone please help me with this, and dumb it down.... please

i dont know how to zip things, or torrent, or wipe. i basically need, explaining to your grandparents, kinda level of help...
