Unplugging USB mouse causes BSOD (Vista 32bit)

I've been dealing with this problem for a while now and just googled it but the fix I saw was for Vista 64bit and I'm not sure if it'll work for the 32bit as well.

Basically I unplug my USB mouse (I usually turn off my screen too) and within minutes my comp has blue screened. The Vista 64bit fix just said remove the update KB973879 but when I searched my updates I couldn't find that.

Thanks for any help with this

I have found several possible causes of your problem. We will go slow, take one at a time and fix that one, test and then move on if necessary.
If after you make this change, and you get additional BSODs, post the files. The more files the better the chance to fix the problem

My analsysis shows that you have one drive that is very low on space, delete all that is not needed. You may even want to put some of the files, programs on a separate hard drive.
The available space is so low it is affecting virtual memory, which can be a cause of your problem.

My drive that's low on space is my recovery drive, but I don't know how to access it. Clicking start then computer then recovery just takes me to a screen that says not to delete/alter any programs in the recovery drive but doesn't give me the option to do so even if I wanted to.
