Hi, I hope someone here can help me. I have HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop that I've had for close to 4 years. These past 4-6 months I have been getting issues such as getting BSOD (usually unmountable_boot_volume) and excessive lagging/hanging while working. I was able to fix these with chkdsk and sfc since no virus was detected.

But last night I had to force it to shut down due to hanging again and restarted it up to get "A disk read error occurred. Press ctrl + alt +delete to restart" only to receive the same message again. It doesn't go far enough to do a chkdsk or sfc. I tried to see if I can run ubuntu off my flashdrive and even went to make it bootable but it just gets it own set of error that I don't really want to deal with. It would be great if I can just get into my HDD one last time. I've already know that its on its way to dying but had no idea how long. I've already saved most of my files except a few and just need get it to work once more to save them. Would really appreciate any help!
