    I cleaned out the fan exhausts as well as the cpu and ram throughout this. Haven't cracked it open to clean anywhere else though.

    We know that it is not hardware, since you were able to install Ubuntu. Strange that the factory reinstallation did not work. Just thinking out loud, now, Maybe virus or Malware.
    Can you get to system restore with safe mode?

    Nope. It seems any means of getting to a windows environment results in a blue screen

    If you cant get it to work with factory reinstallation, you might want to call the manufacturer of your computer and try to get install DVDs for cost, about $25.00
