    Blue Screen and Automatic Restart

    Hi,
I have a Windows 7 Home Premium and every time I log on to my use account, a blue screen pops up saying 'A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent your computer'. Before I can even do anything, it shuts off within 20 seconds.

At first, this was happening to everyone's users account on my computer, but now it's only happening to mine because earlier today, the two other users both were able to get on their accounts with no problems.

Does this mean that my account is the problem? Can someone help me and possibly go through the steps to help me fix this problem?

P.S. I been looking around and saw this Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10, so I downloaded it onto a disk. I tried running it on my computer, but I guess it doesn't work on Safe Mode. Any help is greatly needed, even if it doesn't involve the Kaspersky Disk.

I also have my re-installation DVD, but when I tried to run it in Safe Mode, it wasn't possible, and my computer shuts off too quickly before I can get a chance to run it in regular mode.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jas.

If you cannot even get into safe mode there is a very good chance that your problem is due to hardware, ie memory, hard drive etc. I will give you the information necessary to allow us to help you, but you will have to boot.

If you cant get it to boot, do you have an install CD?
If you have no install cd, do you have stuff that you want to save, before we proceed?

If you cannot reinstall you have hardware problems. If you can reinstall you should be OK. You WILL lose your stuff if you reinstall
