    BSOD on windows downgrade

    Downgrading from 7 to vista.

setup loads all the files, then when it says "starting windows" gives me a blue screen of death.

it says check for virus or hardware changes etc etc, and then the error codes.

    0x0000007B, 0xF797D24, 0xc0000034, 0xc000000,0xc0000000.

    any clues?

the second one worries me, 0 results in google search.

    Re: BSOD on windows downgrade

I'm trying, but its going extremely slowly loading my MSINFO 32

skipped the MSINFO 32 for now, i clicked a few more and they went by quickly, now its going by slowly again on 'event logs'

Allright, they all copied eventually, I was just impatient. I'll zip it up and post in a second.

    Re: BSOD on windows downgrade

Make sure that your settings are correct. Then give us the report with the next BSOD.

    1. Go to Control Panel.
    2. Double-click System.
    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
    4. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (64k).

    Thanks for the help rich.

I'll continue with it tomorrow, I had to take apart the computer to install a new DVD drive, I'll try again tomorrow with the installation disc's and see my results.
