You could try doing a system restore to a point before Nero was installed. Info here if needed: System Restore - How to Hope this helps. Gary |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: major driver problem - looking for someone with great patience! First do please make sure you export a copy of your registry to your desktop and hopefully to a thumb drive too. Basically you will be going down under HKEY LOCAL MACHINE, SOFTWARE - expand that - and then you will go under SOFTWARE and delete anything with nero in it (or if nero is manufactured by someone specific you can look for that name as well - just make sure it is only nero-burner-related that you remove). Then you will go under SYSTEM and expand Control Set 001. Expand ENUM and read through to see if you can see any nero burner info there -- could even be the serial number of the hardware/burner that is there. Delete anything nero-burner related. Repeat with Control Set 002 (and 003 if you have one) looking for anything connected with Nero. Hopefully that'll ream it out for you. If things go wonky, you import that handy little backup copy of the registry you exported earlier, and you are back to square one but no worse off! |
