critical setup file damaged

Hi,
I've got a Toshiba Satellite under Vista with blue screen problems.
It doesn't work under normal mode, Error = STOP : 0x0000007F
only works under safe mode.

I've tried quite a few things but they didn't work. Ultimately, it seems that :
the critical startup file C:\windows\system32\drivers\axeth.sys is damaged.

what can I do?
thank you in advance for your help.

----
see attached file also

I couldn't run the system health report. Apparently RACAgent is "disabled" (I'm trying to translate from French) and so non data and no reports possible.

For the rest:
Vista . . .
- x86 (32-bit)
- the original installed OS on the system : yes
- an OEM
- OEM = came pre-installed on system

- What is the age of system (hardware)? 3 yrs
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) same age / no

Re: critical startup file damaged

I couldn't run the "System Health Report" part.
Apparently RACAAgent has been unabled (desactivated? - sorry but my system is in French) so I can't have a report since no data has been and can be collected.
I enclosed the other file.

Re: critical steup file damaged

OK it looks like the solution is easier than giving me the problem
It is your antivirus
Uninstall using the uninstall tool
Downlad and use Microsoft Security Essentials in conjunctiion with Malwarebytes for excellent protection and no BSOD
http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Outdated drivers which should be replaced. Never saw so many outdated drivers.

How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- The most common drivers are listed on this page: http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html
To remove any left over driver remnants, especially from graphics cards, use driver sweeper
