I have had this hp for about month. ultimate 64, 4gb, 8600gt, and pretty much standard stuff. MY computer will freeze up while browsing the internet, watching tv through windows media center, or listening to itunes. Sometimes it is a full freeze up, other times i can move the mouse but nothing on the screen is responding. Any suggestions? Thankyou!

Does the freeze happen and then stop? Or do you have to reboot?

Usually, I experience a "freeze up" while doing something that uses a lot of HDD access.
For example, if I am converting a video file, that file is quite large, and while writing that file, the system tends to focus on that for a moment.
After its done though, everything is back to normal.

The other times, specific things freeze such as IE or Explorer.
I can either wait for them to respond or restart them without having to reboot.

TERRIBLE, this is the Philippines after all.
No unfortunately i have to reboot. And its while watching tv through media center or surfing the web. I have had IE freeze and unfortunately had to reboot. It will work fine for like 2 days then freeze up randomly. Thankyou
