How do i delete the partition to the left of C:

HI Every one i have this partition on the left thats not doing anything right now in

my pc and i would love to delete it.

It use to be windows xp as a second OS but i deleted it and it left me with 15 gigs

of space.

I can format it and shrink it just to test if it functions and it does.

Can some one help me delete it and give the 15 gigs back to my C:.

oh I also tried using partition wizard home edition, it did not work,

and i tried to use EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition free edition

but it said that its no compatibale with 64-bit even though i got it from the 64-bit

section.( and yes just incase, I right clicked and ran as administrator )

Below are a few pics hope they show

thanks in advance for any type of help Thank You

Hi Ramza:
Have you tried this: Start Menu \ Control Panel\System and Maintenance\Administrative Tools \ Computer Management \ Disk Management \ Right click on the partition you want to delete \ Delete Volume.

you can also do it thru command prompt. (this is going to be off the top of my head)
run as administrator, and type in 'diskpart'.
then type 'list volumes'.
then 'select volume (*number*)'
'delete volume'

then it might restart, and it should be gone.

Re: How do i delete the partition to the left of C:

there is no partition if it is unallocated space. try a free partition editor, and just increase the size of c:.

there's no partition now because i deleted it and thats my results 15 gigs of

unallocated space. the only option i get when i right click on it is new simple

valume and properties. and when i make it a usable partition with a letter. the only

option i get is change letter properties and delete. when i delete it turns to

unallocated and can not give back to c:.

i used partition wizard and i get the same results there

Re: How do i delete the partition to the left of C:

click-now.net :: FREE Downloads : Download Partition Magic 8.01 - PartitionMagic allows you to create, resize and merge partitions on your hard drive without destroying data
i haven't got this program, but if there is a 'slider' for c: partition, slide it over and use the rest of the free space to extend the partition via partition magic.
