How do i delete the partition to the left of C:

Well i decided to give up on this. i know i shouldn't. but its been over a year of

staring at that dam 15 gig telling me what to do lol. so lets gewt rid of it the easy

way so i can have the last laugh. lol.

i formated the entire hard drive and now i am trying windows 7.

but i would like to thank everyone for your suppert in trying to solve the problem .

one last thing. how do you give rep. points i read the post but i just don't get how

to give it. some ppl have a bar at the end of there comment that i can click to give

I had the exact same problem. I booted a CD with Ubuntu 9.04 and used the partition tool and just deleted it. It was so easy a caveman could do it.


EDIT: Oops, I read back a few posts and see I'm too late. Oh well, I hope to be a happy Windows 7 user soon too.

You could have used the PW boot disc.

It will warn you that you won't be able to boot after.

It is right.

Running startup repair from the Vista / 7 dvd/Repair cd to correct the bcd entry would have enabled you to boot in.

there is no partition if it is unallocated space. try a free partition editor, and just increase the size of c:.


there's no partition now because i deleted it and thats my results 15 gigs of

unallocated space. the only option i get when i right click on it is new simple

valume and properties. and when i make it a usable partition with a letter. the only

option i get is change letter properties and delete. when i delete it turns to

unallocated and can not give back to c:.



i used partition wizard and i get the same results there
