Why am I Having these?

I keep having a build up of the same error reports.

There are three files each day, an mdmp file and a text version as well as a Report.wer, and in the end the size of the files in total mounts up, and I don't know how to stop this.

I have a legal version of Nero 10, though I have disabled the automatic update checks within the programme. It always seems to be Nero 10 Update that does it and I was wondering what to do to stop this or at least to understand this.

I have Nero allowed through ESET for updates but I have disabled automatic updates from within Nero itself as I like to do it a lot less frequently. I have turned off 'use Gracenote CD Database' option in Nero and blocked it from using the CD Database through ESET (as it still tried even though the option was unchecked. So that shouldn't be the problem when I do update.

This is an example of one of the text in the files:

File[1].Type=2
FriendlyEventName=Service Hang Report
ConsentKey=ServiceHang
AppName=NAUpdate
AppPath="C:\Program Files\Nero\Update\NASvc.exe"
ReportDescription=Service Nero Update hung on starting.

Is this because I had the automatic update disabled? As I thought by disabling it there would be no start in the service in the first place. I don't want to disable Error Reporting completely from the 'Problem Reports and Solutions applet' or the GPE. I'd like to just stop this Nero stuff building up.

Anyone help please?

Question: Out of interest would disabling Error Reporting completely from the 'Problem Reports and Solutions applet' or the GPE do stop these files being created, more importantly would it do any harm? My system runs very smoothly, no errors or crashes and hardly ever a change in software except for the occasional update for ESET, TuneUp, Firefox and Nero.

Hi, I am not having the blue screen of death, never had it in fact, just an annoying build up of the three identical memory dump error reports from Nero every time I start the PC. If I didn't have TuneUp Utilities installed and occasionally run the Gain Disc Space programme I would never have noticed them.

Every time I start the PC I get the three files created - with a different nukmber leader to distinguish them. Each day a new folder is created and the process starts again.

It's a bloody annoyance given that the data in them obviously refers to Nero Update which I have disabled and blocked in ESET as I like to update less frequently that the minimum 1 month.

I've mad a script now that runs on shut-down to delete the contents of the entire Error Reports folder. If I can ever find out why Nero is doing this I will stop the script but this way at least I don't get the annoying build-up.

My PC runs beautifully, there are no problems, just this update hung on start-up crap all the time. For those interested I have upped the three files created today which are identical to the three files created yesterday for you to look at.

From what I can see Nero is causing it. Try updating the driver from the Nero site.
