Hi,
I would like to know if my laptop is compatible with Windows Vista SP1 x64.I tried to install it,but when i rebooted the first time,it gave me a blue screen.I can't even boot into Safe Mode,or Last Known Good Configuration.I know Vista SP1 is compatible with UEFI,right?

I meet the minimum requirements, but it always gives me a blue screen.I have tried applying install.wim with DISM,but it didn't work. The BSOD gives 0x0000001e error and four hexadecimal codes.

No,because if I boot from it,it will give errors that the disk is of the GPT partition style.

What I want to do is dual-boot with Windows 8.1.I know that converting GPT to MBR deletes the drive,so I don't want to do that.If I try to install Vista from 8.1,it gives warning that it is not in the recommended order, but it lets me do the installation.Previously,I had errors for not enough disk space, but I had over 800 GB free. The first parameter of the BSOD is 0xFFFFFFFC0000005,the third is 0x000000000000000 and the fourth is 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

Then,I think I will never manage to install Vista on my laptop.:mad:
I tried to install Windows 7 Ultimate & Enterprise and they were installed flawlessly:o
But if I booted from Windows 7 DVD,it would give me the same error(GPT).So,I installed from Windows 8.1 and it worked.

I don't think you'll be able too. There is no driver support for it which could be the errors.

Have you considered using a virtualbox setup?

I have Windows Vista x64 onVMware Player.I have all of the drivers my laptop has,2 or 3 of them are not compatible with Vista, like USB 3.0.In the second parameter of the BSOD,the BCC7 always changed whenever I tried solutions for Setup, like ACC7.So,which virtualization program do you recommend for performance?I want to use Aero in my Vista x64 and Server 2008 x64 virtual machines.

Well,I tried VirtualBox with a Vista SP1 x64 VM.I can say that it booted up extremely slowly and Aero with transparency off works well:o.Turning transparency on shows up the experimental Direct3D driver glitches and works worse than VMware with transparency on:mad:.So,I recommend that you use VMware for testing developing tools and programs and VirtualBox for performance.

Shall I try something different for Setup in my computer, such as Disable Signing Driver Enforcement?
How can I boot to UEFI shell in this laptop?I want to get to bootx64.efi in the DVD.
If I successfully install Vista, will my Windows 8.1 partition be unbootable?
Please let me know as soon as possible.
As I told earlier, the B1CC7 part of the second parameter of the BSOD always changed whenever I tried Safe Mode(A1CC7) and Last Known Good Configuration(C1CC7)
I think Intel Core i3-3110M,which is of the Ivy Bridge architecture,is not compatible with Vista.

BSOD news! I tried once again to install Vista SP1 and the BSOD has different sources every time.I mean,B1CC7 of the 2nd parameter, the first time changed to A2CC7.Disabling Signature Driver Enforcement or enabling low-resolution video gives the same BSOD,A8CC7.So,tried to find minidump files or MEMORY.DMP in the $WINDOWS.~BT folder and nothing. So,I think if I want to install Vista,I have to delete everything on the drive.UEFI settings are like this:
UEFI Mode-Legacy Support
UEFI Priority-UEFI First
I have UEFI Mode in Legacy Support because if I change it to UEFI,Windows 7 will give error 0xc0000428 and it won't boot.Numbers BSOD gave me:A2CC7,A4CC7,A5CC7,A8CC7,74CC7.All of the others were the same.
In VMware Player,I deleted Vista x64 and installed Vista x86.I left 1GB RAM for both.Which VM will work better?

Personally I would go with 7 & vista over 8 because I hate 8. That aside it is a rule that the older OS needs to be installed first. Based upon personal experience I know that it is tricky to get Vista back after installing XP. I don't know enough about the differences between Vista/7 and 8 but I suggest that you first clean install Vista and get it going before installing 8. Also it will not work if you are trying to use an OEM disk for Vista from another computer.
