| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | Re: 4870 2GB or 4890 1GB Hello panais, If it was me i would go for the 4890, faster clock speeds all around, i know the other one has more inboard memory but the 4890 floats my boat. Thats just my personal view. Of course DX11 is just around the corner, another thing to think about. Hope this helps, good luck and let us know what you decide on and how it runs when you get it. |

| Vista Ultimate X64, Windows 7 X64, XP Pro X64, Vista Home Premium X86 | Re: 4870 2GB or 4890 1GB personally i run the 4670HD 1 GB card and have no issue's yes the clock speeds are slower but still have no problems with any thing. one last thing, i also like the way they have the cooling setup for that card, if you are a hard core gamer it should stay really cool. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit and Ubuntu 9.10 32bit | Re: 4870 2GB or 4890 1GB no he means dx11 the new HD5000 series cards will be out in October if i was you i'd wait and get one of those if you don't want to wait i'd get the 4890 because once you get past 1gig of memory.... thats the point where it doesn't matter anymore so my vote is the 4890 |
