MSI R4890 Cyclone OC question

Hey all i finaly decided and ordered it, for 159$ it was on sale i could not find SOC edition but im wondering. i can overclock this to the SOC specs right? 1ghz core and 4ghz ram right? how should i do it?

hm... maybe, overclocking a card you never know where you can get it they all are different, you can try the ccc and use ati's tool, or smartfan, or rivra turner i think will do it also

There is no guarantee that you will matched the factory overclocked card settings, but you should be able to OC it further than the 'default' specs.

For the basics, start with ATI overdrive in the Catalyst Control Center and see what your stable limit is.

If temps etc are okay, then you can use other tools to adjust the voltage and perhaps push the OC further.

cool i heard it beats the 285GTX and i was so sold when i saw it for 159$

i still would have gone for a HD 5850 and that would've beaten a 285 without being overclocked.

i got the card in im having issues getting to 1000/1000 though any suggestions? im testing it with benchmark 3d what should i test it with?

domnio i aint rich i paid 160$ for this card i needed a 256 bit

give me a good program to stess test this card please 3D mark keeps freazing i wana make sure this clock and such is alright thanks

hm..... try 3dmark? or..... um.... a crysis bench or something along those lines?

can i get a link please i have 3d mark but its a trial i just wana make sure this thing is stable

thanks man, this card is awesome it out did my 8800gt by x2 i love it but i wana OC it to better cause i have the cooler and i know its stable. and if u have any other suggestions on what to do please let me know. i wana OC this to the max

But it did run okay?
Did it pass the stress test?

More than likely a false positive.

What antivirus have you got? How many times have you tested the Furmark program?

''furmark'' is virus free (to my knowledge), but very intensive on GFX cards.... many go ''bang'' while using this app, so be wary of temps..


what app are you using to OC ..??
