| x64 | just want to update itunes 9.0.1 It says the following The windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode (I'm NOT) or if the windows installer is not correctly installed. contact your support personal for assistance. I also get a message about not being the systems adminstarator. Help please |

| Vista 32 win 7 7600 32 bit | Re: just want to update itunes 9.0.1 event ID 43 is the failure to install a windows update and might explain why windows installer service might not be working. can you type services.msc in search and loo to see if the windows installer service is running and what its start up state is thanks ken |
