Please someone help me... Im gonna go crazy!!!!!

hi guys ,

i have this stupid strange problem and i posted in 3-4 other forums about it, no one could me help

i bought this system on 2nd november. just imagine, i spend ~1800$ to buy this pc AND after 17 days, 17 days......... i still cant get sound out of my onboard sound card!

the problem is that the ANALOG BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL does not work

Here are gigabyte tech support's answers to my problem:
"We are really sorry for the inconvenience you have with our product." and " According to your description, a further testing or examination to your system might be required."

today, my supplier tested the motherboard in front of my eyes, and it worked fine THERE.
they said maybe it is your graphics card's driver (HD 4870) that makes this problem. so i came home, uninstalled the VGA driver and ATI HD Audio driver and.... STILL NO SOUND...

my speakers are fine (i tested them with another pc and with my mp3 player) and i installed the latest drivers for everything...

i dont know what to do
i also e-mailed Realtek technical support last week, and they didnt answer!!
i asked in 3 or 4 other forums (tomshardware, anandtech, guru3d....) no one could help me

what should i do? if u need to know anything, please let me know.
and here are some pictures, maybe they can help u to figure out what is wrong with my pc

OK, I don't know much about ATI but I just read this on some other thread and this may or may not help you.

Since your Video card also comes with HDMI audio, I think your best best is to DISABLE the onboard audio in your Bios and let the Video card with sound take over. It may not work but, at least, is some other solution you can test.

Also, you may have chosen some wrong options on your realtek control panel and this is why the analog is not highlited. Your ATI and Realtek might have some sort of conflict with which one is the master and which one is the slave.

Re: Please someone help me... Im gonna go crazy!!!!!

hi guys

thanks for your replies,

AstaLaVista, i can do that (disable onboard s.card) but then i cant use my speakers my speakers only have a 3.5mm jack, and nothing else... i can only connect them to analog back panel or front panel, and to be honest, i dont have enough money to buy new speakers i tried every option in the realtek control panel... it didnt help... if u know how to work with realtek audio manager i can send screenshots, so u can guide me thanks

pooch, i tried right after i read ur reply, no change by "new start", you mean restart my pc or reinstall windows???

here are some new screenshots:

By new start I mean restart the computer after changes. Sometimes before a new start you will not notice any difference.

Re: Please someone help me... Im gonna go crazy!!!!!

Yes, assuming that you have front audio output jacks and as you only have stereo speakers hd audio is not so important.
Have a look in the bios and if you have the option to set the front panel audio to AC'97
You may have to set the HD Azalia device to auto or even disable it for this option to appear.
Then try connecting your speakers to the front connectors

Hi Koohi,

Your bios is correct, I have just been to the Gigabyte website and downloaded a copy of the motherboard manual, if you dont have this go here
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...l&FileID=18436
It has a very good and easy to understand explanation of the audio on this board.
I think you should have a look here first as it should be much more help to you than I can be on the other end of an internet connection. Should you still have problems or questions afterwards just write a new entry to this thread and I will get back to you.

Let me know either way it goes
