Do
not use Combofix, it's a perfectly safe tool as long as you're under the instructions of a trained professional. As you said, it can do serious damage to your system if you just run it without supervision.
I'm sure Rich will be able to get you back up and running in no time

I just wanted to say that about Combofix
Can you do the following for me please?
OTL
Download
OTL to your desktop.
Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed to let it run uninterrupted.
When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
Under the Standard Registry box change it to All.
Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.
I am currently doing a malware removal degree so I will not be able to help you at this time, but I would really appreciate it if you could make this log for me please - I'm trying to familiarise myself with these logs. I will be able to tell you if you're infected or not, but nothing else
Thanks,
Tom
