64-bit Vista, bringing up printer dialog instead of browser

hmm well it probably wouldn't hurt to try them anyway. I think any error for WRP might be related to that, whether it starts or not. Cuz I can't really think of anything past that :)

couldn't find anything in registry.

Hm... desktop icon runs from admin, so.. maybe one of my nephews younger brothers turned on parental controls for his account.

Nope, no parental controls on my nephew's Account.

Icon for Hero Online brings in his account brings up printer requestor.

Same Icon for it on admin account, brings up game login.

Well, I logged in as admin, went into All Programs, and put a link to the game in his desktop folder, and it goes to the game.

While in as admin, I went to the game's web site, and sent an icon for that site to his desktop.

It is working now. Along with other web site icons.

So, maybe me doing that... fixed it. No idea.

...weird. If I had to guess I'd say it was something quirky in the registry, but I really don't know. I guess if it's fixed, it's fixed!

I think what happened was when I got an icon url link that worked, it reset the registry so the correct thing would happen when we clicked other icon url links.

I think I found other problems...

Evidently the guy who helped my nephew with his computer last year turned on lots of things like network discovery, look for a network server, search for netowrk printers, etc.

I turned all that off, and his computer works better now.
