why am I unable to modify the hosts file when logged in as an administrator? I started my word processor with administrative rights as well. I've not had this issue doing so on administrative accounts that aren't the administrator account, but it seems really backwards to not be able to fully manage my os from its highest level account. the logic in security would be mad hatter talk imo.
also i wondered why some files are requiring that i get permission from trusted installer in order to modify them, such as removing cursors, foreign language files, theme specific media; etc.
is the administrator account not the tell-all in windows?
