After forced Service Pack 2 update, PC wont start :(

the ISO CD i burned is not doing anything... It doesn't even say PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD..it just does nothing....after minutes of waiting i restarted....still the same...pffffft =(
Try another tool,try this one HDDGURU: MHDD
(this tool is also bootable)

If it fail too,go to BIOS and make sure your HDD is detected by BIOS (this means available on IDE controllers)

I'm having a similar problem, This is the third time I've tried to update to SP2 and was able to do a system restore the last two times. I've been messing with this for about a month The error I'm getting this time is;
0xc0190002 579/5842 (cmdial32.dll) I've done startup repair several times but no luck I'm going to try a restore and hope fully that will work. after I get this pig going I'll have more info..... Does any one know what this error means?
