I may have fixed my Vista Black screen issue. None of the solutions that I mentioned had worked before. I reformated my C drive and started from scratch. Installed Vista Ulimate x64, then the hardware drivers, then the applications, then finally my games. So far I have been able to reboot several times successfully. The only piece of hardware that I have left out is my X-Fi card. It was causing the Snap/Crackle/Pop issues. That card and its drivers may have been the cause of my issues all along.

I also updated my Asus bios with the current beta bios (1405), which I believe fixes the SCP issue of the X-Fi card combined with the NForce 4 chipset.

I am going to install the X-Fi card tonight to see if the beta bios fixes the SCP issue.
