Go to device manager and update the video card driver.

The device manager is telling me my drivers are up to date. But I had a little message pop up on the screen that said " At least one display adapter on the system has been disabled because its driver is not compatible with the driver for the VGA adapter ".

Should I take one of my video cards out of the computer and reinstall the driver? Or does it matter that I'm running 2 9800gts.

Dont you see a very small yellow marker by the driver? If so that was is bad.

Yes there are little yellow exclamation points beside both of them. Is it just a matter of a bad video driver possibly? :P

Thats it then. That yellow marker is usually a driver problem, but rarely it can be the card. Update those drivers.

Still crashing. Brand new driver, device manager didn't have the yellow "!" beside them. I'm starting to think a bullet is the only way to fix this piece of crap.

Go to event viewer and give me the information about the crash (errors) that just happened. Code numbers etc.

Went through the entire procedure and I'm still crashing in wonderful fashion I've got this down to an art form now

Hello Matt40 wow you have been through a lot with this I was wondering if you can tell me how many factory disk's you have and what they say on the disk's.

Do you have anything on your computer that is needed, if not we can walk you through a complete factory install, this will put the computer back to what is was when you bought the computer, but anything you have done beyond that would not be saved unless it was backed up already. Just a thought?

I'll try anything at this point. The disks that came with the computer are my OS Disk, a disk for my sound card, a disk for my CD burner, a Dell Application disk, and a Dell Drivers and Utilities disk.

Hello first you put in your os disk and then shut off your computer and then restart and it will guide you through the procress, It might take a little while longer doing it this way but then all of your setting's will be like when it came from the factory. I know because I have had to do mine a couple of times it is time consuming but when your done it's like having a new computer.

Hello I was re-reading all of the posts and would like to know if you were able to do any of the things that Rich asked you to do, I re-posted them at the bottom of this page so you can look them over again. If you have tried each one can you give us a breakdown of what happened with each one when you tried them.

Go to search type device manager and look for any yellow warning markers
Download and run malwarebytes, a full scan after you update
Run antivirus scan
Check memory with memtest86
Make sure that you are not over heating.
Try in safe mode; report back if it works properly.
Try a clean boot
Make sure PSU is working properly
If overclocking, restore to original
Test hard drive at company website.
Test in safe mode, does it still happen?
Try with clean boot..

So I finally figured it out this evening, I opened up my machine and removed one of my video cards, it works fine now, been playing DC universe since about 8:30 pm.

Does that mean that one of my cards is faulty? Or maybe it was just overheating or something...Whatever the case is I really appreciate all the help you all gave me especially americancritic and richc46, you guys gave me hope when things looked their worst lol :D.
