Blue Screen Issues

Basically I reformatted, a complete clean install, then got my internet working then whilst it was installing windows updates it kept randomly giving me the BSOD and won't boot windows and gives me the BSOD.

- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? 64 - the original installed OS on the system? Vista Home Premium - an OEM or full retail version? OEM - What is the age of system (hardware)? 3-4 years - What is the age of OS installation? 1 day

The problem seems to be your avast anti virus.

Go to the avast home page and download the Avast uninstaller, then uninstall advast completely.
Download Microsoft Security Essentials. Test the computer and report back with results.
