Booting Issues

kinda have the same problem here!..

if i may also tell you guys about my problem..

When i turn on my computer the harddrive LED flashes but i have like black screen and the only way to get pass it the first time is to do ctrl+alt+DEL to get to the login screen and clicking on the user.. this happened from time to time and yesterday that step didn't work no mo'... i my monitor seems to stay in stand by/ sleep mode with its LED blinking orange..

>>>> checked on the cables- unplug/ replug= no go
>>>> checked on the monitor swithc= turn off/ on= still no go
>>>> tried to go to safemode= the advance or even the bios screen does not show up.

... at my frustration i went ahead and took out my cMOS battery and restarted it= it boot up to windows but my programs doesn't seem to work anymore= error running program message..

Am kinda worried because i just custom built this computer and would like to know if it is a hardware related issue or its just with the vista so....

im thinking of switching to windows xp and try if the same problem occurs since my warranty period is running out.. i cant seem to figure what the problem is.. tried some suggestions that i read from this forums and checked out some others in other forum sites but cant seem to find a solution..

pleasssse help us! am about to give up as well

If you are not getting video, the first thing to check is another video card.

A different GPU, that will be troublesome. I've only got the X800 :(

That and I don't feel like spending £200 on something that might not even work.

I meant try to find one somewhere that you may borrow for a test to see if it works or not.

and no one said you had to spend that kind of money....

Alright so an update from me.

I just ran World of Warcraft and it seemed fine. I saw I had new updates and one of them was from AMD for an ATI graphics card or something similar, called "AMD -- Display Adapter -- ATI Radeon Graphics Card". I've not seen that there before so it might be something new and hopefully fix the problems I've been having.

Edit- Eh, apparently it was just for a security vulnerability.
Edit2- Nope, display driver crashed again.
