So about 15 minutes ago my parents called me with some computer issues that are definitely out of my realm.
Every time my parents go to boot up their computer they are receiving a message that says there was a problem encountered when trying to boot up. Then it takes them to a screen that says the system will auto fix itself. However, it fails to do so. It then reads the generic send issue, or don't send. It also gave a tip to unplug any USB device that could have possibly just been installed. So I had them unplug everything with the exception of the keyboard and mouse and the problem persists. I was able to guide them through advanced options to see what the problem was more specifically, and apparently they are getting the message:
Boot Critical File C:\CI.dll is corrupt.
I myself have not had any luck finding a solution here or after searching the internet. I tried to have them boot in safe mode but the problem persists. Anyone have ideas or work arounds that can help with the situation? The only bit that I thought would work clearly did not ha.
Thanks in advanced,
Kyle
