Just managed to finish the sfc scan, barely... just crashed -_-

Anyways, it said it found some corrupt files I believe, but was unable to fix them, or something along those lines. I believe it made a log file, if I can get back on long enough I will upload them.

Ok Are you over clocking? How much ram?

the first five dumps are virtually identical. they all are caused by memory corruption. I dont know if you have added memory or changed something. I would first download memtest86 and thoroughly test the ram. If that passes try pulling the ram and re-seating it. It still BSOD take out all b ut 1-2 gigs. If bsod stops with less ram its either the ram or cpu.

4 Sticks, 1g each. Not overclocking.

I had this tower transported UPS from Texas to Chicago, so the sticks might have gotten jumbled around a little, no telling. Still having major trouble logging in without a BSOD so I will try removing some and see if it makes a difference. Thanks.

I removed the 4th stick and what do ya know, I log into desktop normally and no BSOD. I'm still a bit on edge though, worked fine hours last night and pooped on me again this morning. But I'm hoping that that 4th stick of ram is the problem, not sure if it was just loose or corrupt but removing it seems to have things working smoothly... for now. If it is the problem, what do you suggest I do from here, since I'm out 1g of ram. I'm tight on cash so I'd rather not replace it. When the tower arrived UPS, I had opened to case and made sure everything was in properly. If it's corrupt is there any way of fixing it without having to get passed 50 BSOD in the process? One thing I noticed about my last 2 sticks of RAM, they seem a little wider, because they don't seem to go down far enough to get a good 'clamp' on each side, like the first 2 sticks. Although they worked fine forever till I moved, I'm hoping it was loose and will work fine once I put it back in.

with the computer off you should pull all four and re seat them. check to make sure they are the same speed, latency, etc

Well, I'm doing fine with one less stick of RAM, maybe later on I'll buy another to replace the 4th. But yeah, problem solved, thanks for all the help. -DG

glad y ou are working even if it is with one less stick. YOu might want to try that stick in another slot to see if it is the stick or the slot
