I have read many different forums, to no avail, the stop error is 0x000000D1. the answers im finding are that a driver is accessing random high memory. it happens all the time in normal mode, and only occasionally in safe mode. I was able to get into the device manager before the BSOD and found that there are 4 drivers not installed. The VGA, NIC, and 2 base system devices, i have tried to load these in both normal and safe mode but it blue screens before it finishes the install. I tried to do an inplace upgrade but someone in microsofts design team decided that it will not let you do it in safe mode. and guess what the machine blue screens before the cd will run in normal mode.
I got this from a closed post here on this forum:
That bugcheck (0xd1) means that a driver trying to access invalid memory.
If you're somewhat technical, you could potentially figure out what you're
doing when this happens and hope to guess which driver this.(what im doing is just powering on the machine) If you're very
technical, you could put this under the debugger and get the stack for when
this is happening, which should indicate the bad driver.(the event viewer is pointing toward the Network card) If you're not very
technical, your local computer shoppe - or the people that sold you this -
could potentially try to determine why you're getting a
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error.
Any Help would be grateful.
