Hello Ektomorf,
Do you have a USB wireless Lan adaptor ?, try disconnecting it and see if you get your BSOD.
If it works OK, you will have to update your chipset drivers, (i would update them either way as these seem to be the problem, and yours are quite old).

Let us know how it goes, good luck.

Thanks for the reply Stoney, when you say USB wireless i take it you mean the dongle thing that i used to connect to the internet. (sorry for my lack of knowledge i must be so annoying)

Also i'm not sure what you mean by chipsets or where to begin in terms of seeing which ones they are or updating them. i'm assuming the link you posted is a good place to do it but i wanted to check 1st.

Yes, the link is for the manufacturers site, so you can install from there, they should be self installing, so all you have to do, is to follow the on screen prompts.
The drivers on that page are for your device.

Remove the usb dongle and see if the BSOD stop, but update the drivers anyway.
The thing is, it could be the dongle, or it could be the drivers, as the drivers are old, it's best to update them.

Ok downloaded it and was installing it and got BSOD that i didn't catch what it said but it didn't saty IRQl less than equal.

(i've attatched the mini dump one of the files will be an IRQL from this afternoon the other one will be from trying to install the drivers)

After i got back on i installed it again and it said that it didn't install as there no better than what i already got.

Going to change the dongle now and see if that helps.

It's still the same error, so if you cant update the driver, then it may to be then dongle.
Have you tried it without the dongle ?.

I have changed the dongle to the original one i got when i brought the PC. I shall test it out tomorrow by doing some online gaming because that has usually been good for causing it.

I shall let you know how it goes either way.

If it still gives you trouble, try the USB dongle in a different USB slot.

Ok i haven't had a chance to give this dongle a thorough test yet but from the prelimery test it seems to be working fine.

So i'd like to thank all 3 of you for your help. Also your patience in dealing with my poor PC knowledge.

Hopefully i won't have caurse to ask for help again.

Thank you and Take care

Sorry if this is an old post but I've just had a BSOD with the IRQL is less than equal error. I've just run Belarc Advisor from another thread on here on this subject.

So what do you use to analyse the Mini051311-01.dmp file?

My file attached.

Cheers guys. ;)

Oh I did a rebuild of my laptop 3 weeks ago after my last BSOD and its been working great up until now.
