Whats the difference of the OEM version of Vista or the Retail?

um..... not much as far as i know... i think it has something to do with the number of times you can install it or something...

With an OEM version of vista you can reinstall it as many times as you like on the original machine it was installed on. HOWEVER you can not do a major upgrade to this machine. If you change the mobo or graphics card then you will have to buy another product. The retail version is transferable between machines.

If you do buy the OEM version of vista when you upgrade you may as well buy the oem version of 7 (if there i one available). When building a new machine I normally install the newest OS unless instructed not to.

looks good..... but your forgetting the cpu cooler.... i'd also grab one of those

Would i actually need one? it will come with a heatsink, and im not overclocking (as it would look by the mobo but im not)

The cpu cooler depends on what you want the inside of the case to look like.
I bought a different cooler because of the window in my case.
If you are going to go for a different cooler then do a little research, you are looking for sound vs cooling. I am sure that alot of people here will be able to advise on the best sort. Have you considered this into the cost?

well the main reason for a cpu cooler is intels stock coolers are crap...... thats why a aftermarket one would be a good idea... haha :D

Hi ShadowSniper, it is very important to have a good cooler. I would suggest to get one as soon as next time get pay. It might be too much of a hazel to swap it out later when problem arrives.

Although it might have been too late, I like to point out that, from my own experience, through a monitor is the only way you can literally see how well your PC performs especially with today's equipment that pushes the limits of your game settings. Most people would have been agreed that it is the most looking at part of a system. (some of you nuts might like to look at the inside of the case more often :D) The different of the one I recommended apart from the others is its quality and dense resolution. The price different is $40 with the rebate available then.

In anyway, you have put up a nice system together and I am sure you will proud of it.

Okay I want to be safe here, before I start the build I want to ask some questions:

Okay if I wear rubber gloves would I need to wear the anti static wrist strap?
Also what should I not wear during the build (materials)?

hm..... i'd just wear the wrist strap.... but to be honest i've never used anything haha... i just touch the metal part of the case before i pick up a component

I have never worn a wrist strap, even though on my a+ they kept on insisting on it.
So long as you ground yourself first as has been mentioned then you should be ok.
