No, how do I go about doing that?

I am fairly certain its NOT the driver. I've tried downloading from several sources, always get the same one, which it says is most current, and it still won't install.

It is in Device Manager, it gives you the code 10 error, so you can see the manufacturer go to there site and download the correct version for your drive.
One question, is this a laptop or desktop?

The burner model and maker are what you need not the computer maker

under the laptop will be a small cover that gives you access to the rear screw on the drive, they slide out and disconnect at the same time. you could try pulling it out and reinstalling to see if it gets picked up.

Oh, I know...that was just in response to whether it was a laptop or desktop

The driver says:
TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632H ATA Device

When I've looked it up on Dell's website, it says it is a Samsung...

Also, it says it cant find the firmware for that product, on the Samsung website? That particular "TS-L632H" did not show up...although there were many similar ones (close only counts in Horseshoes in hand grenades though!!)

Last time I had one not show up I just replaced it.
