Can't delete file off desktop

I had to know.

So I made a new folder on Desktop and named it ALT+0160.
It wouldn't delete, it wouldn't rename, wouldn't drag-n-drop
into the Trash can.

Renamed it easily with Delinvfile and deleted it normally.

ok i got rid of it but not by anything that you have told me all i did was go to properties and go to under attributes i clicked hidden and it isn't there anymore idk if it deleted it or just hid it but i cant even highlight anything where it was its not there at all...

It's still there you just made the folder hidden. If you go to Folder options and select Show hidden files & folders you will see it reappear.

Does it give you any kind of error when trying to delete?


I noticed you said that the file can not be renamed. Maybe this tutorial can help you fix the files corruption.
