Converting Rupplynx from 32 bit to 64bit

Need help! Cannot run my Rupplynx backup software since I upgraded from XP to Vista and then on to Windows 7. The problem appears to be that Rupplynx is 32 bit and 7 is 64 bit. Is there any work around available. Any help would be most appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to say it appears there is no way of making this work with a x64 PC.

Could you please tell us exactly won't work, whether it installs or not and any error messages.

I would also try compatability mode with Windows XP although I wouldn't hold my breath for this to work at all.

Why not give another backup solution a go.

I am experiancing the same issue. I have not even tried to install the Rupplynx because the main issue is that Windows 7 does not support a serial device.

I have an adaptor cable that marries a serial port to a USB port.

Windows 7 does not recognize the device.

I succesfully installed the backup/restore software that came with my Sharp Wizard OZ 730 PDA.

The software will not communicate.

I have been trying to find Rupp on the internet and have yet to locate them.

If any one knows any resolution to these issues I certainly would like to hear them.
