All the computers are 10/100, my laptop runs wireless N and it connects around the 130 mark, the xp which I am assuming is where the problem is lying is set to 100 with full duplex. It seems odd to me though that I am getting these low speeds since the two that I'm using are hardwired to the router. Right now I'm transfering 60 gbs of music and videos and its transfering at 300-340 kbs, and thats about the fastest I've seen for the most part.
My home network is my dsl modem to my linksys wrt310n and then hardwired is my vista desktop, xp desktop, printer, and xbox 360, and wirelessly hooking up is a laptop that runs wireless n
So when I got home I ping'd the ip address of the xp computer from my vista laptop and it returns with an average of 14ms, from my laptop to my vista desktop i get an average of 1 ms. So what would be causing that?
