Desktop Problem

hello masters,
i have my dekstop problem here

1st all my icons on desktop are gone.... if i put a new icon its gone too.. but when i go to desktop folder all the icons are there.....


2nd i can't use highlight command i mean LEFT click then move up or left or right.... on dekstop..

whats wrong with my desktop?

Just wanted to pop in and make sure you didn't hit the "Hide Icons/Screen" button on the bottom left of your task bar (by the start orb), if it is still there.

"Hide Icons/Screen" > where can i find this?....

Bah. The button is called "Show Desktop" but now that I am at home and I hit it, it only hides the sidebar. I could have sworn that I have done it before and it hid my icons. Either way, if the button isn't there you can hit the start orb and search the name I stated before and it will show up.

thanks but still its not yet fix....

my desktop has no icons...(but when you go to folderdesktop.. theres the icons)
you can't you left click on desktop.. or even highlight... BUt you can use right click then left click like
Right click then left click the refresh.. it will re fresh but but nothing will happen...

then... when you click show desktop.. nothing happens too...

please help..

mmmm... My only guess would to do a total system recovery?
it worked for me with my.. unsolvable problem. In the search thing, type in recovery. Click the thign that says recovery manager. And hit the buttons saying to recover to original factory condition. U can backup ur files.. but idk if that'll make ur icons disappear again ^^

Hit Win R and type gpedit.msc

Go to user configuration>administrative templates>desktop>hide and disable all items on the desktop
set it to disabled and click apply.

If the icons don't show up, see if right clicking works on the desktop and right click and go to view and select show desktop icons

i dont know what happen coz when i open my computer and press f5 for refresh... it suddenly happened like that...

No prob, glad you're working.

If you didn't set it to that and you don't have any hooligans that use your computer, make sure you run whatever antivirus/malware programs you use and ensure you don't have a pest on your computer playing games with you.

Are u able to create a folder or a new file in your desktop? If so create a new file like new word document, right click on it and go to properties.
