.......thanks for your reply.If you need app data folder, try the one under your user name. I don't know but that may be a protected system file. Go into folder options and uncheck "hide protected system files". maybe that will do it. While you're in there check the "show hidden files" and access app data under your own user name. Good luck.

.......ok, I kinda get it.Some 'folders' are actually junctions used for backwards compatability for applications. They are a form of pointer used to point to real folders.
And users can't navigate through them; you just get access denied errors.
